Call for Papers and Registration: Conference on Humanitarian Ethics and Action at Birmingham

The Centre for the Study of Global Ethics at Birmingham is pleased to announce its third annual conference, on the theme of humanitarian ethics and action (broadly construed).

The conference will feature both invited keynote speakers, speakers selected from a CFP, and a public lecture. For further information, and for details on how to register to attend, please see the conference website, at:

We welcome abstract submissions addressing the conference theme from faculty and graduate students in global and practical ethics, and legal, social and political philosophy/theory.

To propose a paper, please send (i) an anonymised abstract in .doc or .pdf format, and (ii) a separate document containing author information (name, paper title, email address, affiliation) to

Abstracts should be 500 words maximum, and papers suitable for presentation in 20 minutes. The deadline for submissions is 1st March 2017.
