The Essay Contest “Politics and Philosophy” on the occasion of Unesco World Philosophy Day is closed

World Philosophy Network and e-magazine “Philosophical Views” supported the initiative of the UNESCO by celebrating World Philosophy Day on the third Thursday of November. We have received over 100 works of researchers and political activists around the world. Our editorial team of researchers from world universities, has selected the best ones. The papers were published in the journal of philosophy “Philosophical Views”, Issue 4 and you can find it on our website. These are some of the papers:

  1.  (Socialist) Politics and (Kantian) Philosophy – Professor Simon Glendinning (PhD), a Professor of European Philosophy in the European Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  His writings cover central themes and thinkers in the phenomenological movement, and more recently in the philosophy of Europe. He has recently completed a major two-volume study of the contribution of philosophy to the understanding of Europe, entitled Europe’s Promise (Oxford University Press, forthcoming)
  2. Christian Harbulot and the creation of “economic intelligence” in France – Prof. dr Giuseppe Gagliano (PhD)  an Italian philosopher and Founding Director of Institute CESTUDEC of Como, Italy and Editor-in-Chief of “Polemos”
  3. A new philosophy of man and humanism – Hans Dassen, Anthroopos Foundation Amsterdam, a Dutch Philosopher
  4. Politics-Philosophy Relationship – Matthew Lampert (PhD)– assistant professor of philosophy at Wheeling Jesuit University. His recent and forthcoming publications include essays on ideology theory, business ethics, and the work of Louis Althusser and Jacques Rancière.
